Psalm 37
Becoming a Life’s Ultimate Winner

Introduction: Blessed Young People

The winner in life is not determined by how much we hold on to, but by what we can let go of, what we dare to choose, and who we are willing to trust.

I. Let Go – Let God Take Control of Our Lives (Psalm 37:1–8)

David pointed out a big trap in our lives at the beginning: we are resentful and jealous of those who do evil. When we see others taking shortcuts and gaining benefits through unrighteousness, we become anxious and unwilling. David advises us to "put down anger and forsake wrath" and not lose patience because of the success or failure in front of us. He reminds us that the real solid foundation is not control, but "relying on the Lord" and resting in His faithfulness.

When we cannot control the situation, the most important thing to do is not to "fight harder" but to "trust God more." If we are always anxious and angry, it may not be that things are wrong, but that our hearts are in the wrong place. The winner is not who climbs faster, but who can walk steadily. Letting go of those things that cannot be controlled and letting God support our lives is the real winner's attitude.

II. Choice – Being Honest About Who We Are (Psalm 37:9–26)

David pointed out that the wicked are not necessarily those who are unforgivable, but those who have deviated from God, are unwilling to do good, and are unwilling to trust in God. Choosing the path of righteousness, although it may seem slow and tiring at first, the end result is to inherit the land and be pleasing to God. God does not look at whether we are successful on the outside, but whether we choose to live for Him. If the direction of our life is off, it is meaningless to go fast. The direction of our life is determined by us, whether it is the path of the righteous or the path of the wicked. God does not look at what we have, but who we live for.

III. Believe – Live a Life of Walking with God (Psalm 37:27–40)

David advises us at the end: Faith is not the identification of the mind, but the response to God's way with action. Those who truly trust in God will experience God's support, guidance and protection. Their ending is not fear, but glory.

True faith is not just talk, but the willingness to walk in God's way. The righteous will eventually "live forever" because God personally exalts and provides. Only those who believe to the end will have a glorious ending, which will make people see the difference. Trust is not weakness, but God personally protects us and supports us.

Conclusion: Let go, choose, and believe to the end, and let your life release the aura of a winner.

To live a glorious and free life is not to fight for it by ourselves, but to let go of our own will and discover and obey God's will. To become a big winner in life is not to win over others, but to trust God to the end.
