申命记 第九章|Book of Deuteronomy 9【神百姓的三个‘应当’】

历史常让我们看到很多可以学习的功课,尤其让我们可以明白到,当同样的事情再一次发生的时候,什么才是我们人应该做的。
一、当知道应许乃恩典(V1-6)
1. 要确信神的应许(V1-3)
神应许以色列民,他们必定会进入到迦南美地,这是以色列民一定要确信的。当以色列民有了这份确信,他们就应该带着实际的行动去灭绝迦南地的恶人,去得着神应许给他们的美地。
2. 要知道都是恩典(V4-6)
神应许以色列民会为他们争战,帮助他们赶出迦南地的恶人。这并非以色列民有多好,乃是因为神对他们列祖所赐下的应许和恩典,并迦南人的邪恶。
二、当记念历史的教训
1. 金牛犊的历史教训(V7-21)
神对着以色列民出埃及后铸成金牛犊来成为敬拜的偶像大发烈怒,庆幸当时百姓们有摩西这位中保来为他们代求,并彻底把金牛犊处理掉,他们才不至于灭亡。今天神圣洁的属性并未改变,祂同样憎恶人生命中的偶像,所以祂让耶稣来成为永远的中保,来把我们挽回,并引导我们不断地除掉生命中的偶像。
2. 发怨言的历史教训(V22-24)
出埃及后的以色列民多次在旷野发怨言,甚至不信神要让他们攻下迦南地的应许,这也是我们今天作为基督徒所能学习到的历史教训。
三、当效法摩西的代祷(V25-29)
面对神的列怒,摩西抓住神慈爱和怜悯的属性,从为神着想的角度来与神对话,也从为人着想的角度来为同胞代求。最终神应允了他的祷告,这是今天我们作为基督徒可以来效法和学习的。
总结:
从初代以色列人出埃及后无法进入迦南地的历史教训里,我们可以学到神百姓三个的‘应当’:
1. 我们应当确信神一切的应许,不要带着任何的怀疑,虽然说我们要与神同工才能得着这些应许,但我们也要看到这些应许其实都是神给我们的恩典,并非我们做得多好,所以才赚取来的。
2. 我们应当不断去除掉生命中的偶像,并除掉我们生命中对神的一切怨言。让我们的生命单单地来对准神,我们就必会领受神一切的丰盛应许。
3. 我们要效法摩西的代祷,在一切我们看到的问题和破口中,站在神和人中间来代求。因着神的慈爱,祂要来听我们的祷告,对着我们所代祷的群体来大施怜悯和恩典。

Introduction:
History often shows us that there are many lessons to be learned, especially so that we can understand what we should do as human beings when the same thing happens again.
1. Should Know the Promise is Grace (V1-6)
(1) Be sure of God's promises (V1-3)
God promised the people of Israel that they would surely enter the beautiful land of Canaan, and this is what the people of Israel must be sure of. When the people of Israel had this assurance, they should take practical action to exterminate the wicked people in the land of Canaan and to obtain the beautiful land that God had promised them.
(2) To know that it is all about grace (V4-6)
God promised the people of Israel He would fight for them and help them to drive out the wicked people from the land of Canaan. This was not because of how good the people of Israel were, but because of the promises and grace God had given to their fathers and the wickedness of the Canaanites.
2. Should Remember the Lessons of History
(1) The history lesson of the golden calf (V7-21)
God was furious with the people of Israel for casting the golden calf as an idol for worship after they left Egypt. Fortunately, the people had Moses as their mediator to intercede for them at that time, and completely disposed of the golden calf so that they would not perish. Today God's holy attributes have not changed, and He also hates idols in people's lives, so He made Jesus the eternal mediator to redeem us and lead us to continually get rid of idols in our lives.
(2) The historical lesson of grumbling (V22-24)
The many times the people of Israel after they left Egypt complained in the wilderness, even disbelieving God's promise to let them take the land of Canaan, are historical lessons we can learn as Christians today.
3. Should Follow The Example Of Moses' Intercession (V25-29)
In the face of God's wrath, Moses grasped the attribute of God's love and mercy, and spoke to God from the perspective of thinking for the sake of God, and interceded for his fellow man from the perspective of thinking for the sake of man. In the end, God answered his prayer, which is something we can emulate and learn from as Christians today.
Conclusion:
There are three 'should' of God's people that we can learn from the historical lesson of the first Israelites' unable to enter the land of Canaan after they left Egypt:
1. We should be sure of all God's promises without any doubt. Although it is said that we have to work with God to obtain these promises, we also need to see that these promises are actually given to us by God's grace, not earned by our good works.
2. We should keep getting rid of the idols in our lives and get rid of all the grievances against God in our lives. Let our lives be directed to God alone, and we will receive all the fullness of His promises.
3. We should follow the example of Moses' intercession, standing between God and man in all the problems and the gaps we see. Because of God's love, He will come to hear our prayers and show great mercy and grace to the community for which we are praying.
